Loot Backlog (Jan to Apr 2013)

So back in December, I decided to finally break the wait and buy myself the extremely rare Tsukibako box (Tsukihime + PLUS+DISC + Kagetsu Tohya) as a first-year-of-working, year-end bonus. So I started searching Mandarake and Yahoo Auctions Japan. Of course, while I was at it, I decided to order Mahoyo, then order the limited edition Fate/hollow ataraxia, then the limited edition Fate/stay night, then finish up my ヒロユキ TYPE-MOON doujinshi collection, and so forth. By the end of the day, my shopping cart was far more full than I had originally planned, resulting in a huge December loot. This did, however, lead me to an (almost) complete TYPE-MOON PC game collection

At that time, however, I was still missing the standalone Tsukihime PLUS+DISC CD, and due to flying home for the holidays, I hadn’t yet started opening any of my figure boxes, so they started accumulating on the side of my room. I also learned about this magical “Christmas bonus”, which, combined with my resumed search for PLUS+DISC, ended up with more shopping. And you know how it goes. By the end of January, I had a number of boxes from Mandarake, AmiAmi, and other places, waiting to be opened. It also just happened that work started getting really busy. So I did what many would do in my situation; procrascinate in the loot unboxing. This only got worse when Tera went free-to-play in February (not only was I falling behind on my anime watchings, but the loot boxes just kept building up). By the time my last huge shipment from Buyee arrived (never use them btw, I’ve switched to FromJapan), I had a mountain of unopened loot boxes, combined with the pile of figure boxes from December. And so this weekend, I decided to tackle this mountain.

The Loot

All the loot boxes unopened, with the unopened figure boxes from Dec’s loot… I’ll tag all the pictures later >_>

Opening up that huge Buyee shipment (was a pain getting it into my apartment)

All loot boxes unpacked, everything disorganized and scattered around

All loot, nicely stacked/sorted for picture taking

Carpet covered with doujinshis, artbooks, plushies, and other items

My living room was pretty much unnavigatable here…

Figure boxes these days are huge… Neco-Arc stuck in for size comparison

That’s right. Hobby Japan’s Noel Vermillion http://myfigurecollection.net/item/81087 and Alter’s Dizzy http://myfigurecollection.net/item/42026. Get jealous! xD

If you are a TYPE-MOON collector, you should be wetting yourself right now. For those who don’t know, these are some of the rarest TYPE-MOON/Tsukihime items: the three original materials Tsukihime books, one of Takeuchi’s first doujinshis featuring Tsukihime characters, and promo pamphlets for Tsukihime. See http://www.tsukikan.com/tags/tsukihime and http://www.tsukikan.com/tags/tsukihime?page=1 for more info. Total counts for currently existing copies of these are probably only in the low thousands (or high hundreds)

Tsukihime plushies! Not complete collection though ; (

ALL the Neco-Arc plushies ; 3

Just another crazy TYPE-MOON collector playing around with his new hand-puppet

And that’s all folks! I’ve taken pictures of all the non-figure items (books, CDs, plushies, etc.) like I always do and uploaded them. Things that still need photographing are in this list:. You’ll notice that I have still not opened any of the figures yet (except the 1/1 Deka Neco-Arc, which I’ll post a review on tomorrow). The reason I haven’t is actually because I’ve run out of display space in my apartment without having to buy new shelves/display cases >_<". Since I'll be moving to a bigger place sometime this summer hopefully, I've actually repackaged all the unopened figures into moving boxes for the time being (ironically). That said, if there's any items in the above loot pictures that you'd like to see pictures of, feel free to request it for review in this blog comments and I'll see if I have time to later ; ) The partial loot list can be found here but all the TYPE-MOON collectables aren't linked (since they're in their boxes and there's a 100 link limit). For the items without MFC entries, see the description of: http://myfigurecollection.net/list/13040 For my fellow TYPE-MOON collectors, I've listed my doubles in this list: http://myfigurecollection.net/list/16735. These items, however, are NOT for sale, but for TRADE only - see my wishlists (TYPE-MOON) and wishlists (others) ~Keripo MyFigureCollection: http://myfigurecollection.net/blog/7685
