i tried the new kernel too. and for nightshade, if you're using the earlier version of zillazero, pz2 has problems. supposidly the new one doesnt, but i dont think its working, so look for an answer soon.

In the ''old'' version of Zillazero Podzilla2 messes up if you change shemas or something like that, otherwise it will work great, but this is prob fixed in the new Zillazero like Keripo said.

you must have unzipped the kernel when you downloaded the newest one right? you're not supposed to do that if you read carefully in the readme you should just download the file and rename it to linux.bin because it already is a gz file. and the need 3 got 2 thing is just a text error. he says how to fix it if you read in his post on the previous page, but its not going to affect anything.

has anyone gotten this new installer working by the way? because i just keep on getting the same error when i try to start up podzilla/zerozilla. the boot screen is working fine though, and i can start up apple os and rockbox.

completely redownload the ZZ1.3 again and unzip it again after deleting the previous one. try the installer then without updating the kernel or anything else. tell me if that works.

im assuming that this is all the latest builds of podzilla etc., is floydzilla the latest? other than that, cool. i will install

Its a modified version of the latest. A few differences, including usage of the MPD music engine versus the old one, but MPD isn't starting at the moment so that won't be much use. I'm trying to fix it though.

I'll check it out soon when I get back home. Til then, wait. The linux kernel overwrite is probably screwing it up though, but the Installer 2 does work I know. A quick fix for the kernel problem would be to edit the packages.ipl line to remove the kernelinstall as one is already included.
