DIY Dollfie Virgin-Killing Sweater

The Japanese otaku community is always coming with new cute/sexy outfit fetishes. In 2014, it was the keyhole turtleneck sweater, which I admittedly got for Arc to replace her normal turtleneck sweater. In 2015, it was the front zipper swimsuit though since I’m personally not a fan of one-piece swimsuits, I didn’t really take much interest. That was followed by the cat keyhole lingerie in 2016, which I would have immediately gotten Arc if the Volks DD body didn’t look so bleh in lingerie. The year 2017 has just started, but we’ve already gotten a new fetish outfit: the virgin-killing …

Hand-made Fate/Grand Order Cards (V2)

Earlier this year, I made a bunch of Fate/Grand Order cards on a whim to hand out to Fate cosplayers and F/GO players at Sakura-con 2016. Being a last-minute idea, they were cheaply made using simple sheets of paper and some packing tape. Despite this, people loved them and I quickly ran out before the end of the 3-day con. And so, for this upcoming Anime Expo 2016, however, I decided to make a second batch of cards, but in larger quantities and much higher quality. Me in my Male Protagonist (Gudao) cosplay holding up my Team Basaka. Except replaced …

Beginner’s Guide to Buying Dollfie Dream Stuff

Here’s a quick guide to getting started with buying stuff for your first (custom) Dollfie Dream. Wrote this up for a friend, might polish it up later if there’s interest. Arcueid obviously did some shopping last Christmas… Head mold This is arguably the most important part since it defines the shape of your character’s face. For pricing, you are best off going with standard head models. For anime style characters, the DDH07 or DDH09 heads are my recommendation. Note that they come unpainted. Buy from Volks store or second hand store or YAJ. Usually your second biggest cost next to …

Introductory Guide to Fate/Grand Order Party Setups

Fate/Grand order is a pretty straightforward mobile RPG; you buy cards, you kill enemies, and then you use dropped quest rewards to level up your cards. The game more or less revolves around the Servants that make up your party and their equipped CE (Craft Essences). For the battle component of the game, you can choose up to 5 Servants to fill your party, each with up to one CE. When it comes to choosing which cards, you generally end up with two kinds of players: 1) those who build their party for best battle potential, and 2) those who …

Faster Ascension Item Farming Guide with Packet Sniffing

Fate/Grand Order is a popular mobile RPG game (for Android and iOS) made by DelightWorks and featuring characters and Servants from TYPE-MOON‘s expansive Fate universe. Finishing battles and defeating enemies give item rewards, which can help you level up your Servants to make them stronger. As a simple mobile game designed for commuters, much of the time spent in-game is spamming repeatable battles, also known as grinding. When grinding for a specific item/reward, the term to …

Desiree’s Detailed Guide to Force Archer Skills and DPS Rotations

In Cabal 2, Force Archers fill in the role of a traditional ranged damage dealer class. The most important thing about being a damage dealer is our DPS, short for “Damage Per Second”. Sanding down Dollfie Dream busts *NSFW*

NSFW warning: This post contains photos of nude Dollfie Dream parts. A while back when I was photographing V0 of my custom Arcueid Brunestud Dollfie Dream, I quickly noted something bothering me when I was reviewing the photos. Something that stood out. Literally. That something was the pointy nipples of the DD L bust. Like in this photo: For a modest character with a modest outfit like Arcueid, the overly-pointy and obvious nipples looked completely out of place. I remember reading a tutorial written a while back by Archangeli about sanding down the nipples, so I decided to try it …

Akihabara Shopping Map 2013

NOTE: This is partially outdated, will post an updated map later. While planning out my Japan trip Akihabara shopping spree, I spend some a lot of time researching all the figure/doll/gunpla stores and mapping them out. I figure this might be useful for others in the future. Here’s the map and please let me know if you can think of any important stores in the Akihabara area that I missed ^_^ Online Google map link: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&msid=216291585881164541606.0004c0510f2cf86838ec4 5,844 total views, 1 views today

Git for Windows with TortoiseGit and GitHub

For my Dancing Monkeys Accelerated project, we were required to use Git for version control and host code on GitHub. As a person who has always preferred SVN (for its linear/incremental nature), and have only had experience with Google Code and SourceForge, setting up a new GitHub repo was a new experience. And so, for future reference, I document the process here. In this tutorial, we install msysgit and TortoiseGit and host code on GitHub. 3,154 total views, 1 views today
