The Day of the Devil... - PZ2 Scheme for 6/6/06

Well, today is June 6, 2006. Or, in shorthand, 6/6/06. The Day of the Devil V_V

And so I decided to have a little fun and cook up a new Podzilla 2 scheme for y'all. Took a few bloody cross pics I found on Google, Photoshoped em together and resized it all for each png. The original scheme file from which I modified it from were eddie19913's Sadistic (Red) theme and terrabyte's Plasma theme. This theme is very similar to eddie's except with changed graphics. All pngs were converted to a palete of 24 and may have an impact on the iPod's speed.

But a fair warning to those who'll test it, I currently do not have iPL installed on my iPod and so I can't test it out. It should be right though, but I need feedback. If it all works, I'll add in a spooky font or so.

sry for the dubble post but

it looks good EXCEPT its like the atari st scheme, where the text is, its all black, underneath it you can see the bg which is cut off...so it isnt that good, the batt looks funky, and dosnt display right when its vertical...need work, but has potential ( i do like the title bar though)

That's how all background'd schemes will look right now (cut off) and there's no way around it. The highligh should be red though since I used the red sadistic scheme . . .

I'll need to find a different picture for the battery thingy since the current picture's kinda just a bunch of messy colours. I'm not sure what you mean "when its vertical" . . . Doesn't the battery meter go from left to right - horizontally?

the latest builds have a verticle battery which allows for more widgets and a cleaner look for pz2, i use it, most batterys work, some dont (like 5 dont) they display 2 halfs, in this theme it just dosnt display it

Hm, sorry for being not up-to-date but where are you referring to? I read the sticky and announcement here but I haven't seen anything about scheme guidelines ; /

You dont need to use 16 colour titlebars. Podzilla displays 24bit and 16bit titlebars with no lag.

Uploaded to the wiki. I'm not yet sure about the new widgets but the auto-generated preview looks fine.

Fixed up the background pic so it isn't cut off. Also removed the wierd thing in the titlebar at the top right that was suppose to be a red dagger (it was too small and pixelated). This time it uses a 24 colour palette so the background pic and titlebar looks much smoother. I changed the battery pic so it looks like dripping blood kinda, and I replaced all the original sadistic graphics (music bar pngs, etc.) with clean gradients.

Oh yeah sorry I forgot to tell you, your titlebar is misaligned on video iPods. The title bar for videos is 23 pixels tall instead of the normal 21. I know it's only 2 lines but it really makes the theme look much better. It's be great if you could reflect this! Excellent theme and great concept btw!
