Ive got a problem with the updated zip. I got it running fine with loader 1, but in pz2, after i restarted my ipod, when i went into pz2 again, the text and menus were all screwed up, all the menus were kind of merging together after i selected on one, and i got it to go away by getting into the select color scheme menu. but it comes up after each restart. Any Ideas? Thanks on the program by the way. great job. I have a nano 4gb if that helps.

Argh, I was about to release a working version that got around installation problems but looks like a new userland's out to fix it all. Time to check it out ; P

sry, but im kinda new to this. when u say a new userland, do you mean linux 2.2? because i couldnt get it to work with that. or do you mean the nightlies, because i cant get the nightlies to update either.

so is the top download for pz2, and bottom for pz0, should i update both?

but actually, im not using linux or mac, no intructions for windows, so im thinking by the files in the download that i need to put these somewhere in the linux partition, correct?

*smacks head* sorry, i just saw the installation fix on the front page about scheme fixing. i will try that.

EDIT:i used the second method for that fix, because there wasnt even a default in there for some reason, but it works now.

EDIT:restarted again, and somehow the default file is being deleted after restart. sucks. im also noticing the error i get when i open schemes "error: default.cs invalid argument" hmm?

I am myself a bit confuzed on how the schemes system works. Apparently the default.cs file is symlinked to a chosen scheme file rather than hardcoded, but I'm not sure exactly how to symlink file to file properly (from what I tried before, symlinking like such instead created a folder with the file). My current workabout is hardcoding the default.cs file, but that prevents swapping schemes. I need to mimic the way Installer 2 does it. If anyone has any ideas, please post.

Can you use zillazero with installer 2 (with start files enabled with the ipod app manager)?

No, I've tried before and found out that the shell file used in the iPod Manager has problems reading normal shell commands. I originally made a work about for this, but now theres the new userland that supposedly enables start files, so then it should work. If you want this to work as it is right now with the iPod Manager, you'll have to duplicate the shell file in the zip and replace the shell file in the manager with the one from the zip.

Keripo, the way I got around it in TT was just deleting default.cs and renaming a scheme (in my case, familiar.cs) to default.cs. When PZ2 is booted fro the first time, it will show up the renamed scheme

Thats my current workabout, but that forces the user to have to recreate the default.cs file each time they access the "schemes" selection option and it doesn't save the scheme chosen ; /
