Here's a quick look at my Champion Arena S2 teams and my League opponents. During Season 1, we all more or less went in blind as the full ruleset was never published and so we went off the assumption that CA would run on the same rules as SP Arena (e.g. CP gap, manually picked attack teams, etc). These turned out not to be the case as CP penalty is removed in CA and your defence teams are automatically used on attack in auto-battle style. This meant that defence teams previously excluded from SP Arena (e.g. Shotgun teams and Scalter/Rei2 teams) are very viable in CA as your opponent can't simply pick the hard counters to your teams. This also unfortunately means there is a huge match-making RNG factor in CA and long term the mode will just be 5 consistent cookie cutter teams that undergo a rock-paper-scissors contest. That's my prediction at least, but we'll see how things turn out.
