Steps to getting your own loyal gate-keeper stand-in:
- Obtain a clean image of Sasaki Kojirou. I originally wanted to use the character design from the Carnival Phantasm official guide book but it was too small (even after I tried to scan it myself) so I ended up just using the standard image from the wiki.
- Run the image through Waifu2x a few times so you have an upscaled enough image for printing a life-sized banner. The one I used was only upscaled 2x, which turned out to not be enough (I recommend 8x at least).
- Use your favourite local/online banner printing service to print out a life-sized banner of that image. I used Office Depot 36×80 vertical banner printing service.
- Print out an Absent due to circumstances sign to stick onto the banner to pay tribute to Carnival Phantasm EP1.
- Tape a small speaker on the back and have it play a song on loop as a tribute to Kojirou dedication.
- Profit. Yorokobe!

Since I will not be in TYPE-MOON cosplay this year at Anime Expo (was Gudao at Sakura-con 2016 and AX2016, Ciel at Sakura-con 2017 and AX2017, and the real Kojirou at Sakura-con 2018), I plan on bringing this fake Assassin stand-in as my replacement to the main TYPE-MOON photoshoot (Day 3, Saturday 5pm).
