This time, it’s the original Saber from Fate/stay night, releasing her Invisible Air and readying to strike you down with Excalibur. After moving to my new place, I set up a nice corner of the room for figure photography and took a bunch of review-style photo sets of figures as I re-unboxed them. Most of these figures are second hand, B/B grade, so keep that in …

Yesterday, a friend of mine living in New York linked me to a new maid cafe (website here) opening in downtown Chinatown. While I've been to Japanese maid cafes in my previous travels, I've yet to visit a permanent one in the US. Which got me thinking, why? And yet, I also knew the answer; Japanese-style maid cafes cannot be …

A few weeks ago (Oct 25-27th), I attended Akicon 2013 as my first big anime convention since moving to Washington last year. In the northwest, there are two large anime conventions, Sakura-con and Akicon. I somehow managed to miss both last year, but made sure to attend this year (and plan on attending Sakura-con 2014). After my first photoshoot with Saber Lily, I really wanted to take her out for an outdoor photoshoot. So, while the weather was still nice, I brought Lily to a local botanic garden for her very first doll meet, with OhnoRaptor’s Airy and jadepixel’s Mariko. Enjoy the photos! ^_^

This post was originally written for Guild Wars 2 (specifically in explaining why ArenaNet hasn’t stopped fly hackers stealing orbs in WvW yet), but applies to pretty much any and every online game with damage/fly/wall/aim-bot hacks. In this post, there are two sections: “How does game hacking work?” and “What kinds of hacks are there?” I’m reposting it here after …

For some of the pictures, I tried to copy various poses from the pamphlet …
