Arcueid Brunestud V0 Custom Dollfie Dream

So a while back before I left for my Japan trip, I decided on whim to try to create a custom Dollfie Dream.

Intro:

Before, I really didn’t have much interest in DDs. To me, they were just really big and expensive dolls, kinda like large figmas but with clothing. Apart from my TYPE-MOON collection, I mainly only collect gunpla (because I’m a huge Gundam fanboy and like building stuff) and PVC figures (because the artistic side of my strongly appreciates the sculpting). That was until I came across this unknown image:

Being a huge Arcueid fan (Arc is mai waifu!), I decided that I’d try my hand at creating my own custom Dollfie Dream. So I did my research, compiled together a shopping list, and meticulously combed through every single doll store that I could fit in my 2-week trip. With the help and advice of the great folks at Dollfie Dreams forums and some additional purchases after the trip, I was able to complete the first version of my custom dollfie in under a month (just haven’t had time to post about it til now).

And so I present to you, the making of my custom Dollfie Dream, Arcueid Brunestud V0.

Next up…
Arcueid V1, fully customized to look more like Arcueid, coming soon. Custom face-up, custom printed eyes, and custom styled hair. I’ll also try to properly sew Arc’s skirt (it’s currently held together by safety pins). Look forward to it!
