After 5 years of gaming on a laptop, I finally decided to go all out this Black Friday and build myself a powerful gaming desktop. After some researching around (aka poking around Logical Increments and Tom’s Hardware) and getting some advice/assistance from friends, I put together my first desktop, a pretty mean machine too. And of course, this called for many pictures as well as an obligatory FRAPS test.
Blade & Soul (CN) at max settings, killing a random world boss.
YouTube compression completely killed the video quality unfortunately :( See the higher quality version here
Setup
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K
GPU: Asus GTX 770 x 2
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-787X-UD5H
PSU: Corsair HX850
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws 8GB x 2
SSD: Intel 530 240GB
HDD: Western Digital Black 2TB 7200RPM
Case: NZXT SWITCH 810 Full Tower
Monitor: ASUS VE247J 23.6″
Keyboard: Corsair K95
Mouse: Logitech G700
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-787X-UD5H
Connecting the CPU and fan to the motherboard
Case: NZXT SWITCH 810 Full Tower
HDD: Western Digital Black 2TB 7200RPM
Putting it all together into the case
Adding in the two SLI’d GTX 770s
I converted my figure photography corner into my temporary gaming corner (until I get a proper desk)
NVIDIA GeForce Experiece (didn’t upgrade to Windows 8.1 yet cause Blade & Soul’s Tencent Protect doesn’t support it yet >_<)
Looking forward to making some fun PvP videos with this new setup!
