This is Part 3: Azur Lane of my series of blog posts covering my 5-day experience at Anime Expo 2019. Make sure to also check out Part 1: General and Part 2: Fate Intro: It’s been a while since I’ve written an anime convention blog post (since AX2016, I’ve just been creating Flickr albums for every event I attend, writing a short Facebook blurb, and calling it good) but due to the higher-than-normal number of photos I took this year, I decided to go ahead and write one. Another reason for this was that this year’s AX experience was a …

The Japanese otaku community is always coming with new cute/sexy outfit fetishes. In 2014, it was the keyhole turtleneck sweater, which I admittedly got for Arc to replace her normal turtleneck sweater. In 2015, it was the front zipper swimsuit though since I’m personally not a fan of one-piece swimsuits, I didn’t really take much interest. That was followed by the cat keyhole lingerie in 2016, which I would have immediately gotten Arc if the Volks DD body didn’t look so bleh in lingerie. The year 2017 has just started, but we’ve already gotten a new fetish outfit: the virgin-killing …

Note: This is part 2 of my Anime Expo blog post. See here for part 1 Anime Expo (AX) is a four-day anime convention held annually in Los Angeles, California. It is the largest anime convention in North America, with AX2016 attracting over 100,000 attendees (more than four times the attendance we had at Sakura-con 2016). I hadn’t attended Anime Expo since AX2011 (Mikunopolis LA), but this time it was announced that there would be a huge concert called Anisong World Matsuri featuring many popular Japanese anime music artists performing (such as JAM Project, T.M. Revolution, etc.) as well …

Note: This is a blog post I was supposed to have written literally half a year ago. Due to numerous factors (mainly Black Desert Online, Revelation Online, Project Rem, and procrastination), I did not write this until today. But better late than never I guess, so here it is! Note: This is part 1/2 of my Anime Expo blog post. See here for part 2 Anime Expo (AX) is a four-day anime convention held annually in Los Angeles, California. Protecting the smile of best girl Rem… It’s been almost two and a half years since I entered the world of Dollfie Dream and started my first custom Dollfie project, Arcueid Brunestud. It would take me another 8 months before I finally completed her (during which I ended up adopting an official Volks Saber Lily), after which I decided that would be the end of it and I would live happily ever after. Or so I thought… While 2016 was a shitty year in various other areas, it was a decent one for anime. More Gundam, more One adaptations, some …

Earlier this year, I made a bunch of Fate/Grand Order cards on a whim to hand out to Fate cosplayers and F/GO players at Sakura-con 2016. Being a last-minute idea, they were cheaply made using simple sheets of paper and some packing tape. Despite this, people loved them and I quickly ran out before the end of the 3-day con. And so, for this upcoming Anime Expo 2016, however, I decided to make a second batch of cards, but in larger quantities and much higher quality. Me in my Male Protagonist (Gudao) cosplay holding up my Team Basaka. Except replaced …

Last weekend (April 23rd), I attended the Hatsune Miku Expo 2016 Seattle concert at the WaMu Theater. This was the (third?) Hatsune Miku concert ever held in North America (with the Seattle stop being the first in the NA tour), the first being Anime Expo 2011‘s Mikunopolis LA. While I did attend AX2011 back then, I didn’t realize that I had to pre-order tickets ahead of time (concert newbie mistake!) and, of course, they all sold out by then. This time around, I did make sure to buy concert tickets ahead of time (or rather, a friend of mine did …

It’s that time of year again: Sakura-Con 2016! Sakura-Con is the largest anime convention in the north west, with over 20,000 attendees and held this year at the Washington State Convention Center (Seattle, Washington) between March 25-27th. This was my third year attending, having attended and blogged about both 2015 and 2014. This time around, I didn’t have any panel topics in mind so I just attended (once again) as volunteer staff this year for tournament gaming. The scheduling this year also wasn’t all that interesting so I spent most of my free time just wandering around looking for Fate …
