A few weeks ago (Oct 25-27th), I attended Akicon 2013 as my first big anime convention since moving to Washington last year. In the northwest, there are two large anime conventions, Sakura-con and Akicon. I somehow managed to miss both last year, but made sure to attend this year (and plan on attending Sakura-con 2014).

Takeuchi Takashi (武内崇) is a Japanese artist best known as the illustrator and co-founder of TYPE-MOON. In otherwords, he’s the artist behind all the characters from Tsukihime, Fate/stay night, and Kara no Kyoukai (yes, he drew your waifu). But before TYPE-MOON became a commercial company in 2004 with the release of Fate/stay night, TYPE-MOON was a doujin circle. And before TYPE-MOON became a doujin circle in 2000 with the release of Tsukihime, Takeuchi and Nasu were publishing other doujinshis under various circle names, including Bamboo Broom (竹箒) and CoCiCaCe CLUB (腰掛倶楽部). After my first photoshoot with Saber Lily, I really wanted to take her out for an outdoor photoshoot. So, while the weather was still nice, I brought Lily to a local botanic garden for her very first doll meet, with OhnoRaptor‘s Airy and jadepixel‘s Mariko. Enjoy the photos! ^_^

The Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) is a series of gaming conventions held in three different locations every year and one of the biggest in North America (right after E3). The biggest of the three, PAX Prime, is held in Seattle, with PAX Prime 2013 held last long weekend (Friday Aug 31 to Monday Sept 2nd). A while back when I was photographing V0 of my custom Arcueid Brunestud Dollfie Dream, I quickly noted something bothering me when I was reviewing the photos. Something that stood out. Literally. I started off with a standard L bust from DDIII Aoi Ver. 2 but after looking at some photos and chatting with jadepixel, I decided to go ahead and order an L shapely bust. The result was quite nice.
