Takeuchi Takashi (武内崇) is a Japanese artist best known as the illustrator and co-founder of TYPE-MOON. In otherwords, he’s the artist behind all the characters from Tsukihime, Fate/stay night, and Kara no Kyoukai (yes, he drew your waifu). But before TYPE-MOON became a commercial company in 2004 with the release of Fate/stay night, TYPE-MOON was a doujin circle. And before TYPE-MOON became a doujin circle in 2000 with the release of Tsukihime, Takeuchi and Nasu were publishing other doujinshis under various circle names, including Bamboo Broom (竹箒) and CoCiCaCe CLUB (腰掛倶楽部). The following are some of the pre-2000 doujinshis drawn …

After my first photoshoot with Saber Lily, I really wanted to take her out for an outdoor photoshoot. So, while the weather was still nice, I brought Lily to a local botanic garden for her very first doll meet, with OhnoRaptor‘s Airy and jadepixel‘s Mariko. Enjoy the photos! ^_^

For the full Saber Lily DD unboxing and review, see my previous post Saber Lily, the Princess of Knights In between unboxing and putting together Saber Lily (see link above), I took some time to take nice, clean pictures of her in her various outfit. For some of the pictures, I tried to copy various poses from the pamphlet or PVC figures of Saber Lily. For others, OhnoRaptors help out. Here they are, enjoy! Lingerie Outfit Saber Lily, showing off her sexy underwear. Elegant white stockings with patterned frills and a garterbelt strap Not all that much a fan of …

Photo warning: This is a VERY photo heavy review. If you just want to see Saber Lily in her completed outfits, see the photoshoot post While I’m not all that much of a Saber fan (as opposed to most TYPE-MOON collectors), there is one version of Saber that I do really like (purely due to her character design). and that would be Saber Lily. Back when I was thinking about creating a custom Dollfie Dream, I was looking through all the existing Volks DDs and the Saber Lily DD caught my attention. Originally the high price, rarity, and poor official …

So I was updating my MFC collections lists today (since the Spring Tsukihime Bottle Caps just arrived in mail, bought from Yahoo Auctions Japan) and I realized that my TYPE-MOON Collection list had hit 300 items (with MFC entries, and almost 500 if you include those without)! It’s been less than two years since I got my first TYPE-MOON figure (and it was a bootleg too!) and I’ve been able to reduce my TYPE-MOON wishlist down to just 11 items (with MFC entries, and a small handful more items without). Rant about me and TYPE-MOON: Spoiler for For those who …

The Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) is a series of gaming conventions held in three different locations every year and one of the biggest in North America (right after E3). The biggest of the three, PAX Prime, is held in Seattle, with PAX Prime 2013 held last long weekend (Friday Aug 31 to Monday Sept 2nd). I have previously attended plenty of anime cons, but this would be my first PAX and video game convention. Got a 4-day pass from a friend but was only able to attend 3 of the days since I had work on Friday (Monday was Labour …

This is an essay I wrote while in university, titled “The World of Hatsune Miku – A brief overview of the VOCALOID phenomena”. The complete PDF version of this can be found here. Published under CC BY-NC-SA. Just under 6 years ago, while wandering around the somewhat unknown video-sharing website called YouTube, I came across an interesting 3D animated music video: The first YouTube reprint of the 3DPV for Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru? / “【初音ミク】3DみくみくPV” It caught my interest because not only was the 3DCG pretty impressive (this was still during the time when Flash animations were still popular) …

NSFW/spoiler warning: This is a review of an 18+ eroge. It contains screenshots of NSFW H scenes (put into spoilers). It also contains game/content spoilers. Included in the Tsukihime ~Half Moon Edition~ CD were a bunch of extra omake material that was later also included in Tsukihime PLUS+DISC (except Clowick Canaan-vail). Each of these are reviewed here separately. CD content/file structure UPDATE 2019/07/10: Upon further inspection of file timestamps and comparing it to release dates, I realized some mistakes (on my part) in this article. Specifically, the following corrections have been made: – “Tsukihime (Preview Edition)” has been corrected to …
