Japan Trip 2013 – Harajuku and Shinjuku

See Flickr for the complete photo set

This is the second week now. Break from Akihabara, lets visit some other places.

Starting with Harajuku, where you’ll find the latest fashion trends and girls in gothic lolita walking around the streets. Then moving on to wandering the streets of Shinjuku. Ending with a pleasant dinner at the Alice in Wonderland cafe.

First off, we take a trip to Harajuku’s Volks Showroom/Tenshi no Sumika

Inside are a lot of beautiful SDs… like how Volks Akihabara is to Dollfie Dream, Harajuku’s Volks is to Super Dollfies.

Streets of Harajuku

Takeshita Street, the main fashion street of Harajuku

More streets of Harajuku

We went to eat, of course, ramen for lunch

Cool looking vending machine

We backtracked to the Evangelion store

The mirrors were too awesome. This calls for… PANORAMA SHOT! (crappy one though!)

A gothic lolita store

I bought a neko hoodie. The shop owner made us make funny poses for the camera.

Crepe break!

Shinjuku station is a nightmare… (and also the world’s largest subway station)

Walking around

Studio Alta, a large shopping complex. Went in just to check out the Volks store at the top, but didn’t end up taking any pictures

Wandering the streets of Shinjuku. A long wandering…

After getting a bit lost, we found our destination; the HALC building

In the basement was the wonderful Alice in Wonderland cafe!

Their menu was pretty stylish

Some Hello Kitty collab was happening

The waitresses were in Alice cosplays and even let me take her pic for free (unlike them money-sucking Akiba maids)

The food, of course, was the amazing part

Just another otaku in his neko hoodie ^_^

Stay tuned for more Japan Akihabara goodness!
