Initial: 2013/09/15
- Diabolik Lovers – Looks like Vampire Knights S3
- Outbreak Company – Premise sounds interesting but half expecting it to disappoint like Sasami-san ; /
- IS Infinite Stratos 2 – Now 10% mecha, 90% fanservice. And hopefully moar Laura Bodewig, though I would settle for some upgraded mecha too
- Log Horizon – Sounding like animation studios are trying to ride the SAO wave… but they don’t even have any animation ready yet…
- Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai! – Plot of the season
- Gundam Build Fighters – RIP Gundam.
- Pokemon XY – Gtfo, I want Pokemon The Origin naooo
- Freezing Vibration – Moar Satellizer…. <3
- KILL la KILL – First original work of the new studio, Trigger (founded by former Gainax staff)
- Meganebu! – FREE!, for the meganekko
- Galilei Donna – No info on this… lets just hope this doesn’t taint the name of historical astronomers
- Magi S2 – Speaking of non-historically-accurate…
- Kakumeiki Valvrave S2 – The Gundam staff took the previous-previous season off to work on Valvrave… now this season they do Valvrave S2 and Gundam Build Fighters… RIP mecha.
- Miss Monochrome – Why is my first reaction, “Is that Busou Shinki?”
- Yowamushi Pedal – Saw the PV, actually looked kinda good. Not into sports animes though, so I’ll personally pass.
- Strike the Blood – Each time I read descriptions like this, a small part of me hopes it’ll be like Blood+. Usually I get disappointed though ; /
- Kyoukai no Kanata – Wait, what? KyouAni picks up an action-superstition adaption? We’ll see how long it last before degrading to moe-blobs
- Hajime no Ippo Rising – I’m going to watch this cause Nacho wants me to, probably not going to enjoy it much though
- Coppelion – Looking like a promising girls-with-guns series (though unfortunately not at Black Lagoon/Jormungand level ;/)
- Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga, Gakuen Love Come o Zenryoku de Jama Shiteiru – We have a new winner for longest anime name! Looks like yet another cutesy-characters, shallow plot anims though
- Little Busters! ~Refrain~ – I admittedly wasn’t all that moved by Little Busters (it was much more than Angel Beats though, but nowhere near Anohana, for reference), but I read up on the actual visual novel and discovered how dark it actually is… interested to see how they deal with that this season (based on PV)
- Walkure Romanze – H game adaptions rarely succeed, this one doesn’t look like it has the Shuffle! elements
- Kyousogiga – The original ONA interested me, the Kyousogiga 2 OVAs kinda disappointed, interested in seeing how the TV adaption will go
- BlazBlue Alter Memory – Wait, what, they’re animating BlazBlue? Not sure how that’ll go, but at least that means there’ll be plenty more Noel ^_^
- Chuunibyou (Movie) – Just a summary movie, with some new scenes
- Code Geass: Akito 2 (Movie) – The first movie was decent, so-so expecting the second
- Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin (Movie) – ufotable, why do you make me so wet <3
- Madoka: Hangyaku no Monogatari (Movie) – New Madoka movie, not a summary like the previous two. Looking forward to it
- Persona 3 The Movie #1 (Movie) – As a non-Persona-player, the P4 anime adaption was so bad that I dropped it… hope they learned this time around
- Ghost In The Shell Arise 2 (Movie) – Found the first one pretty decent as a movie, looking forward to the second
Update: 2013/10/27
This season is unfortunately looking quite disappointing ;/
- Kyousougiga: I have strong hopes for but so far it’s only been rehashes of the OVAs, hoping new content will be reminiscent of FLCL
- Coppelion: so far been a complete disappointment; was hoping for high action girls-with-guns and got nothing ; (
- Kyoukai no Kanata: KyoAni tried way too hard to make a shonen series, but the awkward moeblob directing ruins it ; /
- Outbreak Company: has a good number of “YES!” moments like this but overall hasn’t blow me away
- Infinite Fanservice 2: infinite fanservice, take 2
- KILL la KILL: is my only real hope so far for this season, thank you based Trigger
- Golden Time: watching it because I heard it’s similar to Toradora (which I’ve yet to watch), so far it’s alright…
- Freezing Vibration: a lot less interesting than I hoped, but at least more Satellizer
- Strike the Blood: generic shonen series, nothing outstanding ; (
- Log Horizon: feeling like another slow .hack//SIGN, solid but slow
- Little Busters ~Refrain~: another potential strong point of this season; shows the darker side of the series
- Magi S2: continues from previous season, not much has happened so far…
- Meganebu: it’s a comedy, but unfortunately the humour falls flat, even for a megane like me
- Gundam Build Fighter: caught my attention when the main character whipped out a Wing Zero in the first episode, got disappointed when it broke and he made a Strike variant
- Non Non Biyori: was hoping it’d be like Minamike or Manabi Straight, but the comedy is also a bit flat
- Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio ~Ars Nova~: an entire anime done via 3DCG… interesting just because of the art style (shallow story though)
- Tokyo Ravens: shonen series with I’ve Sound (KOTOKO) doing the OP… watching it just cause of KOTOKO xD
- BlazBlue: yet another victim to the failed-fighting-game-adaption-syndrome
- Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga… (NouKome): watching it purely because of the blonde gothic lolita loli… reminding me of Date A Live (which wasn’t too strong in plot, only in character designs)
- Valvrave S2: inb4 Gundam SEED Destiny
- Galilei Donna: really liking this so far
- mild slice of life, but mainly the connection with Galileo (a famous figure in classical science)
